How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Devon Preparatory School provides young men with a Foundation to Succeed in college and beyond. In a safe and supportive environment our students excel academically and learn to think independently and creatively. Through our competitive athletic program, commitment to serving the community and devotion to Christian values each student receives the strong foundation necessary to face the challenges of life with confidence. With an enrollment of nearly 300 in grades six to 12, Devon Prep is one of the smallest, all male, private schools on the Main Line. In a single-sex environment our students benefit from the focus on academic achievement and leadership made possible by fewer peer and social distractions. Yet, through many social and co-curricular activities they also enjoy interaction with young women from other schools. Our Middle School (grades six to eight) offers a safe and nurturing environment where students can explore ideas, tackle challenging academics and learn to think critically. They have the opportunity to participate on several athletic teams or in any number of clubs and organizations. Throughout their middle school years our students develop a positive self image, strong friendships and the skills for future academic success. With a dedicated and qualified faculty Devon Prep’s Upper School offers a challenging college preparatory curriculum in the sciences and the humanities that encourages creativity and curiosity as well as academic excellence. Devon Prep offers a strong Advanced Placement program, which consistently produces numerous AP Scholars, Scholars with Honor and Scholars with Distinction. On average 50% of the senior class is recognized each year for exceptional scores on Advanced Placement exams. Devon Prep also boasts several National Merit Scholars each year. The Class of 2008 includes four semifinalists and 8 commended students. Devon Prep also offers a complete program of athletic and extra curricular activities including theater, music, and nine varsity sports. Several of Devon Prep’s varsity athletic teams have won championships in recent years. It is our goal at Devon Prep to inspire in our students a commitment to values that will enable them to become responsible leaders. Focusing on each student’s potential, we believe that the school and the family must work together to foster a love of learning which will propel the student into a lifelong quest for excellence. Devon Prep students make friendships that last a lifetime as well as learn the self confidence, respect for others and moral values necessary to succeed in college and in life.
